As the Director of Intellectual Property in the Mass General Brigham Innovation Office, Luann Cserr triages and supports the establishment and strategic management of the patent and copyright portfolios of Mass General Brigham-affiliated hospitals and medical centers. Her background includes more than 35 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, primarily assisting biotech companies in asserting and protecting their intellectual property throughout the world. She has experience as a patent litigator, an in-house patent counsel at Genetics Institute, Inc., counsel with a national law firm, and was director of intellectual property (IP) at Brown University. She holds a BS from the University of Michigan and a JD from the University of California, San Francisco Law School.
