Accessibility Standards at Mass General Brigham

Mass General Brigham is committed to making our facilities and services accessible and ensuring a welcoming, diverse and inclusive environment for all.

Accessibility Standards Across Our System

Across the Mass General Brigham system, we work hard to provide equal access and services for all patients, employees, and community members. To provide accommodations for a full range of disabilities, our Mass General Brigham member institutions and affiliate locations offer:

  • Close proximity to accessible public transportation and/or wheelchair-accessible shuttle and parking services

  • Handicap-accessible entrances and connection to patient spaces via hallways

  • Amenities and public spaces that are designed to be accessible to people with disabilities including patient care rooms, bathrooms, cafeterias, and more

  • Communication access, interpreter services, and assistive technology

  • Ambassadors and escorts to help patients and visitors with special assistance requests such as getting out of a car and into a wheelchair. Ambassadors are easily identifiable by their jackets and badges

Our Commitment to Nondiscrimination and Accessibility

Mass General Brigham is committed to ensuring a welcoming, diverse and inclusive environment for all. It does not discriminate against any individual regardless of race, color, religious creed, gender, gender identity or expression, genetic information, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran or active military status, marital status, national origin/ethnicity, citizenship, or immigration status.
