As Innovation Operations Senior Director, Jeannette Fiala, PhD, leads the Contract Compliance team, which drives operational initiatives that enhance the Innovation office’s business performance and grow revenue through dedicated stewardship of the Innovation deal portfolio. She also develops cross-function process improvements that support revenue-bearing activities, robust analytics, and financial and legal transactions. Prior to joining the Innovation Operations team, she was a business development and licensing senior director, where she led the team responsible for the commercialization of technology developed by clinicians and researchers in the Mass General Cancer Center and in the immunology and pathology divisions of Mass General Brigham hospitals. Jeannette began her tenure via the immunology and pathology divisions of Mass General Brigham hospitals.
Over the course of her time at Mass General Brigham, Jeannette has directed several high-impact deals and implemented numerous operational initiatives to enhance Innovation’s revenue-generating capacity. Prior to joining Mass General Brigham in 2016, Jeannette was a senior project manager at an intellectual property strategy and management firm in Boston, MA, where she provided scientific expertise on IP matters for biotech and biopharma companies. She earned her PhD in biochemistry and completed her post-doctoral studies in bioengineering, both at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
