As a contracts associate, Bryan Whipkey is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and providing legal support for a variety of intellectual property-based licensing agreements concerning the use, transfer, and development of technology and other intellectual property related assets. In this role, Bryan works with both industry leaders and Harvard-appointed faculty members to bring to market novel discoveries that improve the lives and outcomes of patients.
Prior to joining Mass General Brigham Innovation, Bryan was an associate at a law firm, where he worked in several of the firm’s practice areas, assisting both individual and business clients in business/corporate related matters, litigation, and intellectual property-related work. Bryan graduated with honors from the University of Akron School of Law where he received both a juris doctor and a master of laws in intellectual property. He graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor’s degree in economics with an emphasis in finance.
