As a Director with the Business Development & Licensing team, Sherene Shenouda, PhD, MBA, is responsible for intellectual property management and commercialization of technologies developed by clinicians and researchers at McLean Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital department of psychiatry. Prior to joining MGB Innovation in 2019, Sherene gained broad entrepreneurial and leadership experiences, including co-founding a technology start-up focusing on novel solutions for the Department of Defense (satellite data fusion) to managing a $20M+ P&L in the health care space. Sherene has a broad basic and clinical research background, with a focus on translational research, obtained both from her PhD and post-doctoral work at Boston University School of Medicine. Sherene received her PhD in physiology and completed her post-doctoral training at the Boston University School of Medicine. She also received her MBA with an emphasis in business analytics and entrepreneurship from Babson College and a BS in clinical exercise physiology from Boston University.
