Megan Nelson, CPA, is a member of our contract compliance team. She is responsible for the development and implementation of methodologies, processes, and tools that ensure licensee compliance across financial and non-financial obligations. Megan also provides robust financial modeling and analysis that dictates Mass General Brigham Innovation’s revenue forecasting and is utilized in support of its financial transactions.
Prior to joining Mass General Brigham in 2022, Megan was director at a private audit firm, where she conducted over one hundred patent and trademark royalty audits, identifying underperformance of licenses and positioning the company’s clients to recover monies owed. Additionally, Megan has provided expert witness support in myriad royalty audits and IP infringement litigation. Megan began her career in tax compliance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Baltimore, Maryland. She received a double BS degree in finance and accounting from the University of Maryland and holds an active CPA license in the State of Maryland.
