As the Program Manager for the Brigham Ignite portfolio of technologies, Kalpana Kamath, PhD, focuses on medical devices and diagnostics. Prior to joining Mass General Brigham, Kalpana worked as an independent consultant with a focus on translational R&D, providing consulting to the MedTech companies in medical devices, drug delivery, combination products, biomaterials, and bench-to-bedside product development. During her decade-long career at Boston Scientific as a scientist, research fellow, and program leader with the corporate research and development group, she provided oversight to a range of cross-functional programs, drug-device combination products, spanning a broad spectrum of therapeutic areas, technology assessment activities, and innovation strategy initiatives.
Kalpana is an inventor and co-inventor on multiple patents and has co-authored over 15 publications, including book chapters. She received her PhD in industrial and physical pharmacy from Purdue University and her undergraduate and master’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Mumbai.
