As an IP Administrator, Joe Giorgio is responsible for keeping records of the patent applications that are submitted for each invention. Throughout the life cycle of the patent, Joe works to update the records accordingly and makes sure all the information in the records is complete and accurate and that all email correspondence is stored within the proper records. Joe also manages the PHSPatents box, which is where all emails relating to Inventions and IP are distributed. Joe handles all the issued patents and makes sure they are updated in the system and stored correctly. Joe also plays a role in work, relating to government compliance for all federally funded inventions and IP. Before coming to Mass General Brigham, Joe graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth with a BA in history.
