Dennis Orgill, MD, PhD

Dr. Dennis Orgill is a professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School and the director of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Wound Care Center. Dr. Orgill holds a doctoral degree in medical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a medical degree from Harvard University. He also completed additional training in reconstructive plastic surgery.

 

The Orgill laboratory focuses on tissue engineering and wound healing, aiming to develop better technologies to treat wounds. The laboratory performs research on artificial skin, micromechanical forces, platelets, and stem cells. Dr. Orgill has consulted several medical device and start-up companies and holds several patents.
