As more women and girls participate and compete in sport, Mass General Brigham sports medicine specialists tailor their approach to support all aspects of these athletes’ health and wellbeing. The Women’s Sports Medicine program includes primary care services to provide comprehensive healthcare for all our patients, including the diagnosis and treatment of all medical conditions that can affect an athlete’s participation in sport and overall quality of life. We take into consideration preexisting conditions and help you understand and address any new symptoms that emerge, from adolescence through menopause. Our specialists investigate and provide recommendations for optimizing your bone health, hormonal function, energy availability, nutrition and other factors essential to athletic performance.
