Perspectives on WMIF 2023 from Garibyan

Lilit Garibyan, MD, PhD, a dermatologist at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine and an associate professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School, who along with others, moderated the Disruptive Dozen at the World Medical Innovation Forum in June, reflects on how the Forum encourages collaboration and notes the importance of making industry and investor connections to drive the next breakthroughs benefiting patients.

In particular, she values the insights she gained at the Forum: how the immune system can be used to reduce squamous cell carcinoma with the common virus, HPV; and CAR-T therapy for solid tumors.
